Director/Writer: Pete Schuermann

Born on Long Island and currently a resideant of Monument, Colorado, Pete's professional career began after college when he co-directed his first film, Hick Trek. This parody of Star Trek was shot on Super 8 film with an intention no greater than that of an "enthusiast group project". Nevertheless, through repeated showings at festivals and conventions, Hick Trek gained the attention of home video distributors and has been entertaining fans through international release for over 10 years.

Encouraged by this low-budget beginning, Pete continued in the visual field with on the job training in almost every aspect of visual product, including but not limited to photography, lighting, editing, scripting, graphics and his favorite, directing. Over the years, Pete has accumulated a portfolio of short-subject films, including Moses 2000 and Jimmy Hits the Big Town, both optioned for distribution through MGM/Lionsgate, and most recently, Evil Brain from Planet X. Feature-length narrative films include Star Warp'd and Alice in Wasteland, both of which enjoy international distribution, leading to a healthy "in the black" dual status.

In 2005, Walt Disney Studios and Buena Vista Home Entertainment tapped Pete to co-direct and edit Disneyland: Then, Now and Forever, a docu-tainment retrospective piece celebrating Disneyland's 50th anniversary, released internationally to home video in 2006. In 2008, Pete completed work on his personally most rewarding and important project, the edgy and disturbing documentary HAZE, a graphic examination of the beer-soaked bacchanals of the national college environment. The film recounts the circumstances that led to the death of 2004 University of Colorado freshman Lynn "Gordie" Bailey who died from alcohol overdose during a fraternity hazing ritual. HAZE has been accepted and shown at numerous films festivals, including AFI Dallas Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Newport R.I. Film Festival and Indie Spirit Film Festival, and now has national distribution through Hulu and Snag Films.

Over the years, Pete has amassed an impressive quantity of accolades including Emmy, Telly, Addy and Film Festival awards, though award competitions in general make him "a little uncomfortable."

Producer: Nancy Theken

Freelance producer, photographer and sidekick pilot to her husband, Nancy Theken thrives on bringing the creative ideas of her talented team to market. Although she has an education in media production and business marketing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs she says that nothing teaches like being flung into a project, wide eyed and hair on fire. "I have a love/hate compulsive relationship with being scared out of my mind to try new things". Working with Emmy award-winning Watt Imagination! Productions since 2001, she has brought production support to many levels of the company. As production assistant and coordinator, her projects have included the film Risk, The Fort Worth Museum of Nature and Science, Raytheon Beechcraft Jets, Yamaha Japan and The U.S. Army. The most dramatic production work in her view, however, has been the raising of adventurous, wild children that taught her more than any classroom or film set ever could. Mostly how to plan for chaos and adapt for success.

Most recently, she fulfilled the Associate Producer and Research role in the nationally acclaimed documentary HAZE. Nancy consistently proves immeasurable worth in filmmaking with her abilities to nurture both project and person. She is tenacious in her pursuit of the unobtainable, which results in a high rate of delivery. Her positive forward movement always keeps projects and crews lit for achievement.
